Joe Sweis
Founder, CEO & CIO
Joe Sweis founded Fortune Bridge Capital in 2021 and serves as the CEO and CIO.
Prior to founding the firm, Joe spent sixteen years in wealth management. He began his career at Ameriprise Financial and Merrill Lynch before founding Pearl Wealth Advisors, an independent registered investment adviser, where he built a fully discretionary practice managing portfolios for individuals and families. That experience shaped the firm’s investor-centric approach of diligence, transparency, and documentation sized to what private clients need before allocating to real estate.
Fortune Bridge Capital was formed to address a gap in the private real estate market: individual investors lack efficient, aligned solutions for holding diversified private real estate. The launch of Fund I was immediately followed by the most aggressive rate hiking cycle in four decades, sending real estate into recession. The fund’s diversification across managers and strategies was tested in that environment, and that experience shapes how the firm manages portfolio and operational risk to emphasize risk-adjusted returns.
Joe holds a B.S. from San Francisco State University and previously held the CFP, CPWA, and AIF designations and FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations. He is the author of Zero to 54 and speaks to leadership teams on perseverance, commitment, and gratitude. Outside the office, he is an avid runner and lifelong athlete, and father to three amazing children.
